So, i finally got to see my favourite band live in action! I also got myself drenched in the rain and voluntarily gulped in polluted air. Is that a sign? Yep, that's a sign that i'm going home wet with my hair flat and a silly grin on my face coz i had a great time isn't it ironic?
"Kau..bagai udara yang kuhirup
Di setiap masa
Engkaulah darah..
Yg mengalir dalam nadiku...
Hidup ini INDAH....."

Hearts to my sis for paying for the tix! i'll repay u with countless lunches when i start earning...not any time soon

Dewa : In the Name of Love 2005 - Part 1
|
|
27th February will be the day that I will remember for as long as i live. i finally got see Dewa live in concert here in Singapore! Ahmad Dhani is super awe-inspiring and i finally got to see him for real. Wow....after so many years, who would've thought this day would come? Sure, some people may say, "What's the big deal?". Well, it is a big deal for me. Ahmad Dhani started the band in 1986...i wasn't even conceived yet! Look at how big they are now. Here are pictures of the opening acts for that day, Aegyptie & BhumiBand and also the MC Sarah Sechan. Enjoy!
"Oh.. masih ada Belenggu ruang cinta
Meresap kini di dinding zaman
Mencoba - coba kikis naluri
Agitasi murahan yang ada lagi
Mohon acuhkan Palingkan muka"

Mocca & Friends @ Esplanade
|
|
Went to catch Mocca and local band Serenaide at the Esplanade. There was quite a crowd. More so when it was nearing Mocca's appearance. Serenaide's performance was praiseworthy..i especially liked the song "The Girl from Katong".
Serenaide is - Pheroz, Remi, Mimi, Shaq. U can check them out at www.serenaide.net
Then Mocca came on and entranced the crowd with their songs...i really enjoyed myself. What impressed me most tho, was their rendition of "HyperBallad" by Bjork....which i felt was so beautiful...i but had to sing along.
Mocca is - Arina, Riko, Toma, Indra. U can check them out at www.mymocca.com
"it's early morning
no one is awake
i'm back at my cliff
still throwing things off...
i listen to the sounds they make
on their way down
i follow with my eyes 'til they crash
imagine what my body would sound like
slamming against those rocks...
when it lands
will my eyes
be closed or open?..."
HyperBallad - Bjork

Let's give the bands a big round of applause for voluteering to perform to raise funds for the Tsunami victims! *applause*
The bands were good tho' i don't really remember their names. The ones i knew were Electrico & Rafe. Electrico did a cover of The Darkness' "I believe in a thing called Love". Fun indeed. There was also that John Molina guy. ( i think that's his name...care to correct me, anyone?) His band performed "Vertigo" by U2...which i thot was superb coz i was in love with that song then...
Rafe was the band that won Power Jam i think...i only knew one song by them, "Everything" which is being played on Power 98. They were quite good lah..i enjoyed it while it lasted. The frontman, Awi Rafael also does vocals for another local act, BhumiBand which is being nominated for APM 2005.
There was this band that did a number by Evanescence..and it was impressive! Then there's this other band with a really entertaining frontman..dgn animal print shirt segala. Hah. They did "We are the Champions" by Queen. Suara sebijik dgn Freddy Mercury!

I HEART Tokyo!
|

I HEART Tokyo!
Tokyo's awesome! It was the beginning of winter...my sis & i went budget travelling to Tokyo. And when i say, budget..i meaan BUDGET. Among the places we went, Mt. Fuji, Ginza, Asakusa, Ikebukuro, Bullet Train, Disneyland..and few others. The pictures are not as interesting as i'd hoped it to be tho...Firstly, there are always alot of people moving around me. Secondly, due to the cold weather, my layered clothings & heavy bagpack kept my movements a tad bit restricted. So the pictures are mostly direct & blatant.
Had fun shopping at Asakusa..i also posted a pic of Dewa when they were there. Hah.
One night, i decided to take a stroll down Ikebukuro and chanced upon a band playing on the streets. Their music's fun & catchy. Something i'd love listening to (walaupun tidak satu benda yg ku faham ) ...and then a police officer promptly appeared to stop them. They were also selling their albums at the site...so my sis bought one for me, even got it autographed. haha..
ok,pictures pictures! onli selected ones coz we took hundreds of pix...Hail Digicam! wait no...hail Dad for getting one on my birthday! and my Mom too coz they both paid for the trip and my sis for being an awesome travelling partner!
I Heart Mom & Dad..and Sis!!
